R980,00

The NBI® Teacher/Trainer Instrument is a special version of the NBI adult instrument. This assessment tool, developed by Dr Kobus Neethling, helps teachers identify their preferred thinking style (teaching style) based on the dominance of one of four brain quadrants.

The focus is on your thinking preferences in the teaching and training environment. The brain profile and the report are written with a teacher/trainer focus.

IMPORTANT NOTE: After payment, you will receive a link and login code to complete the 20 minute assessment online. Your report will be available immediately.

The Neethling Brain Instruments (NBI®) is a revolutionary battery of instruments that strives to develop whole-brain thinking in individuals. Your own thinking preference directly influences how you chose to teach.

A person’s brain is divided into four different thinking quadrants:
L1 – Analytical and factual – focus on logic, facts and analysis
L2 – Organised and detailed – focus on practical applications and sequential thinking
R2 – Interpersonal and sensitive – focus on relationships, emotions and intuition
R1 – Strategic and unorthodox – values creativity, innovation and holistic thinking

Each of the four quadrants is further divided in two, to give 8 distinct dimensions to a person’s thinking preference.

The Brain Profile gives an indication of how you…

  • Act towards other people
  • Organise your classroom
  • Communicate your thoughts
  • Structure your lessons
  • Solve problems
  • Form relationships etc

Applications include:

Tapping Into Potential – Understand your own thinking preference, how this brings you energy and how you differ from others

Improved Teaching & Learning – Once you know your ownpreference, you can use the Whole Brain stratgey to ensure you connect in all four quadrants with your learners.

Enhanced Teamwork – This will give you insight into how to better understand your colleagues with different styles.

Because the focus of this NBI® profile is on thinking preferences, the end result is neither good nor bad. The NBI® provides a profile of thinking preference which is a descriptive, objective analysis of the individual’s thinking choices, with no profile being better or worse than another.
