We all have the ability to be resilient, but we need to know and grow the skills so that when we face difficult life events, we can do so with confidence. We have selected 14 science backed strategies that are the essentials for you to build your resilience.
Each module shares ONE of the strategies and gives you a tool to practice strengthening the competency. You can select any modules and build your own programme, however with all 14, you will be well equipped to meet adversity.

When the world around you forces you to start organising your shoes, where is your point of leverage? We explore how to regain proactive focus and use your energy for impact when the world around you seems to be unravelling.
3. Influence Uncertainty – The Anxiety Equation

Yes, there is an equation for anxiety. Discover why we should stop exaggerating, awfulizing and generalising and some actionable steps to take that will tip the balance back in your favour.
4. Dance In The Kitchen – The Emotion and Energy Connection

Resilience is not about grinding through relentlessly without pause. A valuable lesson grounded in resilience research is to top up your energy. Discover the role emotions play and how you can own your energy tank.
5. Tame the Croc – Exploring Stress Triggers

How does your brain deal with rising stress? Our default responses can form patterns that sabotage us. Explore your reactive and proactive responses to change and choose to act intentionally.
6. Throw Away the Toothpaste – Take Decisive Action

Evaluating the costs and benefits of your choices when facing adversity reduces your chances of regret. We use the process of Consequential Thinking to ensure you can manage your impulses and act intentionally. This process will allow you to identify the response that is optimal for yourself and others.
7. Fill Up Your Bucket – The Wellspring of Resilience

We have more resources than we are aware of. When faced with severe challenges, we are sometimes stopped in our tracks. We lose our wits and our ability to think and resolve these situations. However we have resources and strengths we have used successfully in the past that we can access – our wellspring.
8. Gain Momentum – Adaption and Points of Leverage

How one interacts with change is the difference between surviving and thriving. Both the speed and strength of your response to adversity matter. Discover what creates resistance and how to use the Change Map© to spin the wheel and get momentum to make progress.
9. Appoint a Board of Directors – Growing Support Networks

There is a level of vulnerability that comes with asking for help and in this vulnerability lies true courage. Social support has been shown to be the most powerful predictor of health and well-being. Create a structured approach to leveraging this superpower.
10. Crack the Code – Conditioned Stress Response

We can be our own worst enemy when disruption hits. Using The Reaction Cycle© we explore ways to challenge our conditioned stress response and discover the power of adaptability.
11. Paint a Rock – Exercise Gratitude

Taking a proactive perspective of hope and possibility is an actionable and learnt response, giving you ownership of your decisions and outcomes during challenging times. Discover how exercising gratitude can refocus and shift perspective.
12. Chisel a Masterpiece – The Art of Elimination and Purpose

Great artists know that it isn’t just about what you add, sometimes the most important work is knowing what to take away. And there is an art to knowing what to take away. Shift from a scarcity mindset, to discover the process of finding what has been there the whole time.
13. Connect the Dots – Beneath the Iceberg

Taking a deep dive under the surface to explore what lies beneath our actions equips us to make clever choices in the moment. Using a heatwave of your own wisdom to melt your Iceberg Beliefs creates space for growth and reflection. Warning – don’t believe everything you think.
14. Own Your Struggle Story – The Resilience Plan

We are wired for stories and we can create our own endings. Using the tools and data gathered from the first thirteen moves, it’s time to devise a personal resilience plan based on your existing resources and the 4S Framework.
